Il Museo Industriale di Leeds occupa un grande complesso industriale con esposizioni di macchinari tessili, attrezzature ferroviarie e processi di produzione su più piani.
Benjamin Gott costruì l'edificio attuale nel 1805 come lanificio, che operò fino al 1969 prima che il Comune di Leeds lo trasformasse in museo.
La galleria tessile dimostra il processo completo di lavorazione della lana, dalla materia prima al tessuto finito, rappresentando il patrimonio manifatturiero di Leeds.
Il museo è aperto da martedì a sabato dalle 10:00 alle 17:00 e domenica dalle 13:00 alle 17:00, con visite guidate disponibili durante la giornata.
La collezione include il più antico modello di locomotiva esistente, costruito da Matthew Murray nel 1811 come prototipo per il treno Salamanca.
