De Roode Leeuw is a historic grain mill in the center of Gouda. The mill was built in 1727 and repaired after a fire in 1771. It is a national monument and one of the oldest remaining grain mills in the Netherlands. The mill still turns regularly, but it has not been used for commercial milling since 2025. Visits are possible during opening hours or by appointment.

Het Tolhuis in Gouda is een historisch rijksmonument aan de Westhaven, op de plek waar de Gouwe uitmondt in de Hollandse IJssel. Hier moesten schippers vroeger tol betalen om hun reis te vervolgen. De eerste vermelding van het Tolhuis dateert uit 1389, waarna het gebouw in de 16e en 17e eeuw meerdere keren werd uitgebreid en verfraaid. Na de afschaffing van de tol in 1795 kreeg het gebouw andere functies, zoals woonhuis en later kantoor. Tegenwoordig is het een goed bewaard monument dat de belangrijke rol van Gouda in de scheepvaartgeschiedenis laat zien.
