Il Castello di Mey si trova sulla costa settentrionale della Scozia, a circa 6 miglia ad ovest di John o' Groats.

Costruito tra il 1566 e il 1572, il castello è stato in possesso della famiglia Sinclair per oltre tre secoli.

Il castello è noto per i suoi bellissimi giardini murati e il centro animali, che ospita una varietà di fauna selvatica scozzese locale.

È aperto al pubblico da maggio a settembre, con visite private disponibili al di fuori di questi mesi.

Il Castello di Mey è l'unico castello sotto la cura del Queen Elizabeth Castle of Mey Trust.
