La chiesa in calcare presenta una torre a tre livelli con orologi e aggiunte in arenaria rossa del 1882, incluse navate laterali.
Edmund Sharpe progettò Christ Church nel 1837 come uno dei suoi primi progetti, completando la costruzione in un anno per 950 sterline.
La chiesa mantiene legami con la congregazione metodista attraverso servizi ed eventi congiunti per tutto il villaggio.
L'edificio dispone di una galleria sul lato ovest e include strutture moderne come una cucina e accessi per persone con disabilità.
Un fulmine colpì la guglia nel 1854, portando a riparazioni che introdussero modifiche mantenendo lo stile romanico.
