First National Bank of Mankato

The First National Bank of Mankato is a Prairie School bank building in downtown Mankato. Its exterior combines brick, limestone, and terra cotta with horizontal lines and decorative details that define its appearance.

The building was constructed in 1913 by architects Ellerbe and Rondé and served as a financial institution during Mankato's growth as a regional trade center. It played a role in shaping the downtown area during that period.
