Il Monumento aos Bandeirantes è un grande monumento all'aperto con 23 sculture in bronzo che si estendono per 60 metri di lunghezza. Le figure sono distribuite su un'ampia area che forma un'installazione scultorea considerevole.
Lo scultore Murilo Sá Toledo ha creato questo monumento, inaugurato nel 2006, che rappresenta gli esploratori portoghesi che si avventurarono nell'interno del Brasile durante l'epoca coloniale. Commemora queste spedizioni in forma di scultura in bronzo.
Il monumento raffigura le interazioni tra i coloni portoghesi, i popoli indigeni e gli individui africani attraverso figure in bronzo dettagliate. Le rappresentazioni consentono ai visitanti di osservare come questi incontri storici sono ritratti.
