Church of the Protection of the Theotokos, Tempio ortodosso a Pereslavl-Zalessky, Russia.

La struttura in pietra della Chiesa della Protezione della Theotokos mostra cinque cupole e finestre decorate vicino al lago Pleshcheyevo.

L'edificio religioso, costruito nel 1769, ha sostituito precedenti strutture in legno dedicate ai Quaranta Martiri di Sebaste e all'Intercessione della Santissima Theotokos.

Il tempio mantiene regolari servizi religiosi nei fine settimana e nei giorni festivi, portando avanti le tradizioni ortodosse nella Diocesi di Yaroslavl.

I visitatori possono trovare la chiesa in via Pleshcheevskaya 13a, con numerosi sentieri pedonali che la collegano alle aree centrali di Pereslavl-Zalessky.

Il tempio ha subito una trasformazione durante il periodo sovietico, quando le autorità hanno riutilizzato lo spazio prima del suo ritorno alle funzioni religiose negli anni 1990.
