Pomona Police Station, Complesso di polizia storico a Pomona, Australia
The Red Street complex contains three government buildings from the 1930s: a police residence, courthouse, and two-cell lockup with adjacent motorcycle garage.
The construction of the station was completed on August 31, 1934, following years of community requests for local police presence in the growing timber and dairy town.
The station's establishment reflected the expanding needs of Pomona, which developed from a timber settlement into an agricultural center after the arrival of dairy farmers.
The courthouse section of the complex remains operational three days per week, handling civil matters including small claims and debt resolution proceedings.
Before the official station opened, police operations were conducted from a private residence at Railway Parade, built by carpenter Eugene Von Blenckensee in 1927.
